The unwitting pawn that helps bring about the end, Meg is lost, Azriel in his search lets loose the mighty wolf that will bring about Ragnarok.
The world is about to end, can the Wolfe family undo their interference or will they turn to the ‘ark’ that the Prince has kept secret.
Fourth in the I am Wolfe series.
Originally started in 2003 but was left without an ending in 2004, end of 2012 start of 2013 nearly a decade later saw the ending inserted. The greatest fear was it might run into a fifth book, the aim was originally to keep it as a trilogy but the growth could not contain the story to three books.
As with book three Angel Among Men this book follows the same set of characters and how they survive the end of the world.
Meg is gone, the Wolfe men are at a loss on what to do, Azriel is in shock and refuses to move on. Edward still being cut apart is given the bad news, he agrees to take his old job back when he is released from his hundred years of torture. Alexander is locked away in a hundred year forced hibernation as a punishment for Turning Edward.
Through Azriel’s interference Fenris the Wolf is set free, Fenris asks Tjolnir to join him but Tjolnir refuses. Now the race is on to save the world from the Harbinger of Ragnarok, they’ve bought some time while Fenris searches for the long dead SkØll and Hati.
Nothing can be done, the earth is doomed, the Prince opens his ark, a compound that has been built for just this eventuality and leaves an unusual person as the Dominor in charge however he and Azriel do not stay they plan to fight the evil and right wrongs where possible as the end of days floods start.
An approximate nine years the ark is closed… And I think I’ll leave it there not to give away the series ending.
