Meg Pictures

Her true self

Medium: Digital drawing

A close up drawing of Meg's face, this picture was taken from my other digital drawing called True Reflection, I added more detail into the reflection and made it into a picture on its own.

Meg front cover illustration

Medium: Oil on canvas using palette knife 16"x12"

The front cover of the book is actually a photo manipulated picture, with exception of blacking out the eyes and adding teeth all that was needed was to make the whites whiter and the darks darker, so yes there is someone out there that looks like the front cover...

This is the oil painting version, done using a palette knife, I did it just to keep my hand in a what skills and techniques I picked up from college.

Meg

Medium: Digital drawing

Here is Meg in all her glory showing that she not stick thin but instead has ample curves enough to entice anyone. Through out the first book she is worried that she is not good looking enough for the vampire community, I've tried to get the correct image across of how voluptuous she really is.

Meg dancing for The Prince.

Medium: Digital Imaging

An attempt to draw her dancing, moving her body and throwing her hair about, the hair isn't quit what I wanted it to be but at least I've given the right impression as to how scantily clad she was and why the police picked her up for it.

Meg Dancing for Edward

Medium: Oil on canvas 16"x12"

Original Painting SOLD

This one was done with brushes and a lot of thick paint. This is showing Meg dancing for Edward while they are trying out the Kama Sutra type book Edward brought back from abroad. The fiery background is suppose to represent her passion for Edward.

Meg at the flow country

Medium: Oil on canvas

A very eerie place when visited at the right time, the flow country is an area of Scotland which is very water logged and has many small to medium sized lochs the area is bare and very bleak looking but it is still has this haunting beauty. Meg goes there for a while to get in touch with her solitary side.

Meg trying to fight.

Medium: Pencil

A quick picture of Meg trying to fight, her left arm is still wrong but even getting someone to pose in the position didn't help.

Meg showing her teeth

Medium: Digital art

Thought I'd try and do a pick of Meg's teeth and like any good vampire story some blood is a must.

Meg Ashamed

Medium: Digital art

I was aiming for atmospheric, this is Meg feeling ashamed about how she has let Edward down and how he is treating her

.

Edward Pictures

Lover's embrace

Medium: Digital art

Meg and Edward doing what they do best, not having models to pose for this one proved a bit tricky trying to get the highlights and shadows right so I had to give it my best guess. The background texture came from a stock picture in Deviantart.

Edward waiting

Medium: Digital art

I was going for dark and brooding here but the background went all to pot I may attempt another background at a later date and get the lighting right.

Edward when he was younger

Medium: Pencil

A pencil picture that started off well but the cobbles went a weird, never mind it is brief glimpse that once upon a time Edward too was young and not so pushy and forward, before he lost his marbles.

Edward in his car headlights

Medium: Oil on canvas

I was aiming for the bright glowing rays of hope that Edward brings to Meg. I painted this with brushes and cocktail sticks!!! On the actual painting the car can be seen just behind his silhouette, reduced down it's almost unseen.

Edward Playing his violin

Medium: Oil on canvas

This painting was done with small brushes and very thinned down oil paints, I had trouble with the hand on the neck so I got someone I knew who plays the fiddle well to pose for me so I could get the correct positioning but by then I had already done the rest of the painting so the shape of the violin had to remain the same.

Edward

Medium: Digital Imaging

Older in humans years when he was turned than Meg or Alexander he has frown lines and when he does actually laugh there is more wrinkles so he tends to stay in a permanent non-smiling state.

Alexander Pictures

Guardian Elf

Medium: Digital drawing

This took me a couple of hours trying to get the skin tone right took the longest, when the story talks of his human form this is how he looks except maybe with some clothes on ;o) I was reasonably pleased with the results of the figure I just needed an appropriate background that portrayed the correct image that Meg sees him as.

Alexander when he was young

Medium: Pencil

A quick picture of Alexander before he was turned into a vampire, unusually tall and skinny he'd always have problems with clothes slipping off, I think I got the right impression here as his ancient style kilt is sitting low.

Alexander's Sword

Medium: Oil on canvas 32" x 12"

I wanted to paint a picture showing his sword, his sword is a mighty weapon that he cherishes. There is Pictish style wolves carved on the blade.

Alexander - not so happy

Medium: Pencil

Another pencil picture of Alexander, this time I have tried to portray his -not so cute- side, it is hard with the big hairy ears to make someone look nasty but I've just about got it.

Meg & Alexander

Medium: Digital Imaging

I have tried to show here how Meg flirts shamelessly with Alexander the whole time, they are sitting at The Prince's house. I feel I have captured the image close enough without being too vulgar.

Last but not least...

Some random characters that feature in the first and forth coming stories.

The dragon

Medium: Digital drawing

A mighty dragon appears and terrorises the Amish in Pennsylvania, guess who the dragon is?

Alpha and Omega

Medium: Digital drawing

A scene from book two, Meg is the wolf and the albino is from the 'Alpha Experiment' not quite their first introduction but definitely the first time Meg realises that he is not letting his leaders know the whole trut.

Prince's Bow

Medium: Oil on canvas 32"x12"

Even though there is no mention about the Prince having a bow in the first book, it appears in the second book, it is very important to him as he enlightens Alexander on how he is an archer.

This painting was done using a sponge and brush, it was deliberately done in a monochromatic style, two shades of blue were used with the addition of white, I wanted to give an almost mystical feel to the bow. This painting is one of my favourites.

Azriel Fed up

Medium: Digital art

Azriel doesn't appear until the second (now the third) book, he is quite an important character and I just finished doing this picture so I thought I'd add it to the website, I like the pinky-blue sky in the background.

Azriel having a quiet moment

Medium: Photo Manipulation

Three photos combined - Background, model & wings. I altered the colours on the model and the wings then added extra rays of light. The wings are not big enough but proportionally I left them this size for the picture, Azriel being an immortal of some sort can actually fly so his wings are very large.

The stock photos of the background and model came from Deviantart.

Eric

Medium: Digital drawing

Eric is mentioned in the first book, Alexander's creator, however doesn't appear until the second and third book. One of the sweetest men that Meg has ever met, he has a kind and caring nature often mistaken for being a softie and push-over however he is anything but a push-over.

Edward and Eric

Medium: Digital Imaging

Just a picture to show the similarity between Edward and Eric, I've tried to make them near identical but hoping that the manner in which they have their arms and legs positioned gives them a different attitude to each other.

Eddie

Medium: Digital drawing

Eddie as a teenager, he grows up through the series of books. An odd cookie but that is to be expected as he doesn't have a normal childhood.

Some fun pictures

Just for some fun here are some comic/manga style pictures.

Surprise!

Medium: Digital drawing

Alexander jumping out on Meg and giving her a fright.

A kiss between two

Medium: Digital drawing

A moment between Meg and the Prince, how dare Meg cheat on Edward especially with someone like him, does this mean he's bi and not gay?

Happy Halloween 2009

Medium: Digital drawing

Sitting on Edward's doorstep Meg is hugging a pumpkin, this was done as a Halloween 2009 picture at no point in the first book does Meg hug a big orange pumpkin on Edward's doorstep.

Meg

Medium: Digital drawing

This was an attempt to do a portrait of Meg in the Manga style, I know that there is correct names for each category of Japanese comics and the individual pictures but my Japanese is almost non-existent so I don't know the proper name for this style of picture.

Happy moment

Medium: Digital drawing/imaging

A happy moment together, I haven't done all that many pictures of Meg and Edward together so after doing this one I found it cute and heart warming.
